Chairman's Message

Inspired by the high ideals of my father late Giani Harnam Singh Ji, I developed a new vision of education. There are two infallible methods of serving the society, one through education, the other by developing human mind through journalism. I combined the two to be able to contribute to the social set up and create an environment where the youth of India develop a vision and work it out in practical life. In late 90's, Information Technology took the nation by a storm. The south of India rose as one man and developed whole region into what one commonly calls the Silicon Valley. Punjab was far behind. We took initiative, harnessed our resources and set up Sri Guru Harkrishan College of Management & Technology with a view to provide Computer and Management education to Punjabis in particular and the Indians in general at an affordable cost. We established the institution with the sole mission of making Punjab a leading state in the field of Information Technology. I am indeed happy to say that the institution is fulfilling my vision and already a large number of successful technocrats are adorning the chairs of responsibility in the field of Information Technology and Management. My wife, the members of my family and my friends assisted me overwhelmingly in conceptualizing this dream education and giving it a practical shape. The institution has grown stronger and it has carved for itself a distinct place in this field.
