Scholarship Opportunities at SGHCMT: SGGSCC has set up a Student Aid Committee to expand the educational possibilities for students and to assist excellent students. This committee is central to the college, giving financial aid to students and promoting an empowering and inclusive atmosphere.
The main objective of the committee is to implement a dual approach – “equal access to education” and “promotion of meritorious talents”. It is ensured that no student is deprived of higher education only due to financial constraints and every student gets full opportunity to develop his/her potential.
Financial Aid Policy
The basic objective of the financial aid policy implemented in the college is to promote inclusive education. SGGSCC believes that every student has the right to education and no student should be left behind only due to financial limitations. Under this thinking, every year, in collaboration with the college management and governing body, fee concession or complete fee waiver is given to such students who need it.
The process of providing financial assistance takes place in two stages:
- At this point, the applications are reviewed and a first selection is made using a review of student’s finances and achievements.
- In step two, the scholarships that each student will receive are picked and the full round of scholarships for the year are chosen.
- As a result, the college has assisted many students to reach their educational dreams.
Scholarships
SGGSCC awards a large number of scholarships every year, which not only honour meritorious students but also support students from economically backward classes. These scholarships are sponsored by the governing body of the college, various academic trusts, former and present faculty members and alumni of the college.
